Resident Evil: Outbreak is a PlayStation 2 survival horror game that takes place in Raccoon City during the T-virus outbreak, featuring unique cooperative gameplay where up to four players work together online to survive against hordes of zombies and bio-organic weapons by completing objectives, solving puzzles, and managing limited resources.

 Players choose from eight distinct characters, each with unique skills, and must manage a virus infection gauge, which leads to a game over if it reaches 100%. The game's scenario-based structure offers various settings and challenges, emphasizing teamwork to overcome the nightmare before the government quarantines the city.
