Pokémon Gold for the Game Boy Color (GBC) is a role-playing game where you become a Pokémon Trainer, exploring the world of Johto and collecting, training, and battling Pokémon. The game introduces a real-time day and night cycle, new Pokémon types (Steel and Dark), and a variety of new features like breeding and the Poké Gear. The core gameplay revolves around exploring, battling Gym Leaders, and ultimately challenging the Elite Four.
