Mario Party DS for the Nintendo DS, offers engaging gameplay rooted in traditional franchise elements. 

Players traverse through five unique, newly designed game boards, participating in 70 novel mini-games. The game offers a rich, single-player story mode, where players face-off against Bowser and his minions. 

The storyline reveals that Bowser has tricked and miniaturised Mario and his friends, and the objective is to return them back to their normal size by defeating Bowser's followers on each board and ultimately, Bowser himself in a final showdown.
